PLAYOFF PREVIEW & CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK - Week of 2.19.23 - Maryland Public School Girls Basketball
When I started these articles and blogs back in November, the sole purpose was to show love to the MD public schools girls basketball landscape. We have so many amazing student athletes in all counties whose teams’ needed exposure. I’ve had the opportunity to travel all around the state to cover games. My first blogs were back in November under “Marathon to Comcast” for each region, you can go check them out on the website(sambuckley161.wix) under blogs and twitter/IG (SamBuckMDPreps) I was able to preview all regions (1A-4A) and players to watch etc. We have now made it to championship week and the MPSSA will release the tournament seeding on Tuesday 2.21.23. I kind of feel like Joe Lunardi of MD High School girls’ basketball with my preseason predictions thus far, minus a few exceptions. Based off the “Eye test,” strength of schedule, quality wins against tough opponents, and overall record is what my rankings and region previews are based off.
