Recap from Last Week: Maryland Public School Girls Basketball

Another week in the books. Let me start off by saying this. It is especially important that I keep the consistency alive with the weekly rankings. All year long teams have lost games and dropped in the rankings. Most teams in the top 10 teams only have losses to private schools or schools from out of state, however when they loss they drop in the rankings. A loss is a loss. I will keep the same practice. No need for favoritism in these rankings.

Last week started off with Forest Park beating a good Rosedale team then following it up with a good win against a scrappy Gwynn Park ball club. Broadneck beat Severna Park in an AA County battle. McDonough gave Poly their first loss of the season in a great game. C.H Flowers dropped its first game of the season against Pikesville in a tight physical game. Hammon is now the only undefeated public school in the state of Maryland.
