Week of Jan 3rd”- Maryland Public School Girls Basketball – Weekly Rankings

As a former coach, athletic director, and school leader I’ve seen my fair share of high school athletics. The “Eye test”, strength of schedule and quality wins against tough opponents is what these weekly rankings are based off. Anyone who has a good pulse on the MD Public school girls’ basketball landscape would agree that racking up wins against subpar competition does not get your team ready for states, if your end goal is to make it down Comcast. Poly & Pikesville had ring ceremonies in December to celebrate their state championship runs last year.. Western, Old Mill, Wise & Howard captured holiday tourney trophies. Many of the schools below played in competitive tourneys all over the country over the holiday break. In collaboration with Prep Girls Hoops, and 1 Motionsports (Instagram & Twitter) I am going to provide the top #15 Girls High School rankings weekly.
